Applause, celebrations, and honors await this evening at the awards gala. At 6:30 pm, we’ll reveal which films from the Breakthrough and American Docs sections you liked best, and who will go home with the Audience Awards.
But before then, join us for the last Q&A sessions with festival filmmakers, the last literary meetings and the last... don’t worry – it’s not goodbye just yet. With a Monday full of films still ahead, we’re not done exploring all the states of cinema!
41 screenings, 4 Q&A sessions with filmmakers, the exhibition I Wish I Was a Yellow Dog at Studio BWA Wrocław, and Marcin Giżycki and his America exhibition at KNH.
Guest: Craig Butta (producer)
Guest: Michael Curtis Johnson
Followed by the DelicioUS! Presentation
Guest: Alexandre O. Philippe
Guest: Dariusz Kowalski (producer)
Between screenings, take a detour to Wyoming (against all odds, it’s very close to the cinema, as it’s at Studio BWA Wrocław gallery, 46a Ruska Street) with Lora Webb Nichols, an accomplished photographer who documented the pioneering days of the early 20th-century American West. Admission is free.
Uncovering all states of cinema is one thing. At this year’s AFF, we go even further. Step into a unique VR experience to witness one of the most pivotal moments in modern U.S. history up close: the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Don’t miss JFK Memento – a compelling journey worth your attention.
California bear or the ever-iconic American eagle? Choose your favorite animal and grab a festival tote! Throw in something from New Horizons’ clothing collection and the iconic Miłość (Love) soap by 4 Szpaki.
Two candidates, each with an excellent program. And each wins. This year, your choice for late-evening fun is an easy one: head to the Festival Club, hosted at not just one but two fantastic venues – Rumbar and Texico – in the beautiful Pokoyhof Passage, right next to the New Horizons Cinema. It’s the perfect spot for AFFters! Here, you can discuss film impressions, grab something tasty between screenings, and enjoy a 10% discount on all menu items when you show your festival ticket, pass, or accreditation.
Psst! If you’re looking for pleasures for the palate – check out our list of friendly establishments offering exclusive deals and discounts throughout the festival.

Usually, by now, we’d be slipping into a bit of nostalgia, but this year the festival extends one extra day, so the smiles stay on! On Monday, enjoy 29 screenings at New Horizons Cinema, a stand-up special, and a celebratory farewell high-five at the Festival Club – Rumbar and Texico. And don’t forget, you can take AFF with you: the online edition continues through November 17.
