World premiere of "Erupcja" at TIFF. Deadline extended for US in Progress

Vouchers for passes to the 16th American Film Festival are now available! Pete Ohs’ "Erupcja", starring Charli XCX, joins the 16th AFF lineup

Congratulations to Pete Ohs, director of Erupcja (starring Charli xcx) and last year’s alum, on his film’s upcoming premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival!

The project is a result of a long-lasting relationship between the filmmaker and Poland and U.S in Progress in particular and a collaboration with Polish recognized actor and producer Lena Góra that was struck in Wroclaw during the program in 2023. Big thanks to U.S. in Progress partner post-production companies Black Photon and Platige Image’s Soundly Studio which provided services to finish the image and sound of the movie.

The submissions deadline for the upcoming 2025 edition of U.S. in Progress has been extended until September 10th. American narrative feature projects in the rough cut stage, seeking finishing funds, are invited to apply for the program. U.S. in Progress connects American projects in their final production stages with leading Polish image and sound post-production companies, offering a total of over $100,000 in post-production service awards. The industry event will take place from November 4-8 in Warsaw and Wroclaw as part of the 16th American Film Festival (November 6-11) in Wroclaw, Poland.

There is no entry fee, and films can be submitted by sending the following information in one email to usinprogress@nowehoryzonty.pl with the subject line: "USinP Submission - project title":

For this edition, we are looking for narrative projects:

produced in the U.S.
to reach at least 60 minutes of running time by November
minimum 20 minutes of footage needs to be provided with the submission

The final deadline is September 10 (Wednesday, noon EST).
