All the States of Cinema Return in November

AFF films honored at the Independent Spirit Awards Call for Entries: the 17th AFF Invites U.S. Filmmakers to Wrocław

This November in the U.S. will revolve around the midterm elections—votes that will influence, among other things, the balance of power in Congress. We don’t yet know how Americans will decide, but we do have a proven candidate for you with a strong program: from November 17 to 22, we invite you to the 17th American Film Festival, which will once again take over the New Horizons Cinema (Kino Nowe Horyzonty) in Wrocław. Part of the program will also be available online until December 6.

Why cast your vote for AFF? For more than a decade, our candidate has been a guarantee of solid quality, while still managing to surprise audiences with unconventional ideas. In the program you’ll find an offer for voters looking for “something more”—the best and newest gems of American independent cinema, top-tier Hollywood productions, documentaries, and premieres straight from international festivals. But there’s also something for those who value consistency in their candidates: standout examples of genre cinema, legendary classics, and works by acclaimed masters. We’ll begin sharing the first program details after this year’s New Horizons International Film Festival (July 23 – August 2), and we’ll announce the start date for AFF pass sales soon.

And while we have your attention: we also enthusiastically recommend New Horizons as the candidate with the best and most diverse summer program—one that will make the turn of July and August truly exceptional. Cast your vote by purchasing a festival pass!
