2025 is off to an exciting start – three US in Progress alumni will have their premieres in Park City!
Bunnylovr directed by Katarina Zhu will have its premiere in the US Dramatic Competition. The film, about a drifting Chinese American cam girl who struggles to navigate an increasingly toxic relationship with one of her clients while rekindling her relationship with her dying estranged father, was awarded post-production services from Earworks, Fixafilm, and XANF.
By Design, about a woman who swaps bodies with a chair, and everyone likes her better as a chair, directed by Amanda Kramer was the recipient of ORKA and Soundflower post-production grants.
OBEX directed by Albert Birney (recipient of post-production services from XANF) is a film about Conor Marsh, who lives a secluded life with his dog, Sandy, until one day he begins playing OBEX, a new, state-of-the-art computer game. When Sandy goes missing, the line between reality and game blurs and Conor must venture into the strange world of OBEX to bring her home. Both films will premiere in the NEXT category.
Congratulations and a big thanks to our partners who are helping these films cross the finish line in time for their premieres!
