Independent Spirit Awards have been announced! Film submissions for the 15th American Film Festival are now open!

It’s like it was yesterday when we welcomed new year, 2025, and here already the Sundance Film Festival has taken place, march has come, and the Oscars have been handed out. This is to: say there is no need to wait. Note the important dates of upcoming 16th American Film Festival.

18th February, 2025 – call for Breakthrough and American Docs competitions opens
9th September, 2025, noon – festival passes and accreditations go on sale on festival website
16th September, 2025, noon – call for volunteers opens
17th October 2025 – end of sale of passes and accreditation
21nd October, 2025 – publication of festival program on festival website along with film synopsis
23rd October, 2025, noon – individual film tickets go on sale on festival website (exclusively at americanfilmfestival.pl; stationary ticket offices will open on November 6th, noon in New Horizons Cinema)
6th November, 2025, 8:30 AM – bookings for pass holders starts
6th November 2025, noon – Festival Center & ticket offices opens at New Horizons Cinema
6th-11th November, 2025 – 16th American Film Festival | stationary edition
6-17th November, 2025 – selection of movies from 16th American Film Festival available online on Nowe Horyzonty VOD (only on the territory of Poland)
