Selected projects will also compete for:

  • an acquisition offer from Canal + group (Ale Kino+).
  • Cannes Marche Producers’ Network 2022 pass.

Producers should apply by the final date September 17th, 2021 (Friday, noon EST) and send US or Canada produced narrative feature projects that are in post-production stages.

For this edition, we are looking for projects:

  • in post-production with at least 30 min of the film edited and to reach feature format by the presentation date. If selected, the feature length version of the rough/fine cut will be presented.
  • with no US, Canadian or international premiere nor European sales representation prior to November 15th 2021.

When international travel is uncertain due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, US in Progress will take place in hybrid form. Selected projects will be accessible virtually on a secure online platform. Additionally, representatives of selected projects are welcome to attend the festival at their own expense with the organizers covering 3 hotel nights.

US in Progress also offers:

  • exposure to and feedback from European buyers and film festival programmers;
  • networking opportunities;
  • online presentations of Polish projects looking for partners in the US and Canada;
  • online panel discussions and presentations of Polish co-production incentives;

US in Progress is a unique industry event that aims to foster collaboration between American and Canadian independent filmmakers and the European (Polish in particular) film industry.

The last Wroclaw edition attracted more than 50 buyers and producers. Some recent US in Progress alumni include: Jane Schoenbrun (We’re All Going to the World's Fair, Sundance 2021), Erin Vassilopoulos (Superior, Sundance 2021), Edson Jean (Ludi, SXSW 2021), David Gutnik (Materna, Tribeca 2020), and Jonathan Cuartas (My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To, Tribeca 2020).
