Where and when movies from 14. American Film Festival will be available?

Selected movies from 14th AFF will be available between November 7-19 on New Horizons VOD platform at nowehoryzonty.pl/vod. You can enjoy watching films online anywhere in Poland – all you need is internet access and a device to watch on (technical requirements are listed below). The sales of single accesses and promotional packages will also go through the platform.

What are the prices of online single tickets and packages?

• single access – PLN 20
• 5 films – PLN 75
• 10 films – PLN 130

• note! The number of film packages is limited

Note: online movies are only available in Poland (in case of viewing in EU/EEA territory – see below for more information).

You can buy an unlimited number of tickets, but only within the limits of tickets available for individual films; we are trying to increase the available pool where possible.

How to buy a single access (or a bundle of single accesses)?

During the online festival (November 7-19, 2023) you just need to:

• Log in or create a free account at nowehoryzonty.pl/vod (note! It’s a different login from the one use at americanfilmfestival.pl during stationary edtiton!)
• Go to the American Film Festival program section
• Choose a movie
• Buy access to the movie (or a bundle of them – in that case we recommend add films to the cart and pay when done picking films to watch)
• Enjoy the screening

Is access to the movies limited?

Yes, there are limits for all films available online.

Do the festival packages also entitle their holders to use the New Horizons VOD offer?

Festival packages are not combinable with New Horizons VOD offerings – using them, you can only watch films from the 14. American Film Festival program online.

Can I watch movies outside of Poland territory?

Due to licensing agreements with individual distributors festival films are only available in Poland. However, in accordance with European Parliament Regulation 2017/1128, users permanently residing in Poland but temporarily residing in the other EU or EEA country may also view content to which they have purchased access while residing in Poland. Please email us at pomoc@nowehoryzonty.pl after purchasing access. After verifying the conditions, we will unlock the access. 

How much time do I have to watch a movie?

You have 48 hours to watch a movie from the moment you click on the “watch” icon. The last screening can start no later than November 19^th at 23:59 (i.e., press the play icon – otherwise access will not be activated), then you have 48 hours to finish watching.

The device must have one of the following operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows 10,
• Mac OS 10.13 or later,
• iOS 13 or later,
• Android 8.0 or later,
• Linux with updated Chrome browser,

• Firefox version 70 or later,
• Microsoft Edge version 18 or later,
• Opera version 56 or later,
• Safari version 13 or later,

and an Internet connection with actual bandwidth:

• 1.5 Mb/s for video playback in 480p quality,
• 3.5 Mb/s for video playback in 720p quality,
• 6.5 Mb/s for video playback in 1080p quality.
