Send your project to U.S. in Progress! Submissions open till September 10

First of all, congratulations to last year’s U.S. in Progress participants! Two titles join the list of the 2022 edition alumni that had their premieres in 2023.

The following films that went through the post in Poland will be presented at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival that opened yesterday: 

  • Falling Stars by Gabriel Bienczycki and Richard Karpala was colored in Warsaw based studio Orka.
  • Family Portrait by Lucy Kerr had VFX provided by XANF.
  • Playland directed by Georden West, Monica Sorelle’s Mountains and Shane Atkinson's LaRoy premiered earlier this year in Rotterdam and Tribeca Film Festivals.

In 2023 U.S. in Progress will be held from November 8 till 10th. The program is organized in the framework of the American Film Festival in Wroclaw (November 7-12th).

U.S. in Progress presents narrative feature projects in rough cut stage to European buyers and Polish partner post-production companies offering more than $50,000 worth of services. Head of the Polish Film Institute, Radoslaw Śmigulski, awards another $50,000 to be spent on post-production in Poland as well. The program’s objective is to inspire American producers to work with Poland.

U.S. in Progress regulations and requirements:

  • we are looking for fiction narrative projects in progress
  • produced in the U.S.
  • to reach at least 60 minutes of rt by November
  • minimum 20 minutes of footage needs to be provided with the submission
  • no sales agent attached by November 10th.
