American Projects and Partners Participating in US in Progress Announced!

The fourteenth edition of the U.S. in Progress co-production forum will be held from the 7th till 9th of November 2024, as a part of the fifteenth edition of the American Film Festival in Wrocław.

The event aims to facilitate professional networking among independent filmmakers from the United States and European and Polish film professionals. Invite-only in-progress screenings will feature excerpts from nine projects selected by the international committee from numerous and entirely diverse submissions of independent American feature-length pictures in final editing stages.

Filmmakers who attend the event will have a chance to network with top European festival programmers and buyers. The 2024 US in Progress Wrocław partners provide in-kind awards of post-production service packages from leading Polish sound and image studios worth up to $10,000 each:

The Director of the Polish Film Institute, will award one project with a $50,000 cash award to be spent on post-production, image, sound and/or VFX in Poland. ATM VIRTUAL, a virtual film production studio, has funded a prize valued at $25,000, consisting of one day of shooting, preceded by one day of prelighting, for the production of a selected producer’s next feature film. New Europe Film Sales will award one project with European sales and promotion consulting service. Additionally, DCF- Lower Silesia Film Center will invite a project for a location scouting trip in the region.

Thanks to our partnership with the Polish Producers Alliance and Polish Producers Guild the event will host one on one meetings between Polish producers selected to meet American filmmakers to work on their future projects. The event will also feature presentations of Polish production incentives as well as industry panel talks.
