What is Open Ticket?
We've all been there: can I get a last minute ticket to a show that's already sold out? The goal of Open Ticket service (OT) is to efficiently make use of all the available seats in the screening room.
OT is essentially a pre-paid card that you can charge via cash or debit card payments at the festival ticket office. OT card owners can scan their cards when entering the screening room – at the exact time the movie starts – and proceed to any available seat (including unused reserved seats, if there are any). OT is not just an option for those waiting for available seats at the most popular screenings – you can also use the OT card to purchase tickets to any show that is not yet sold out.
OT sales will begin at November 5th, 9:00 a.m. at the festival's ticket offices.
