Finders keepers proves life can be far stranger than fiction. Petty entrepreneur Shannon Whisnant discovers a mummified leg in a grill he bought at an auction. Although the leg's "rightful" owner quickly turns up, the media machine is already hurling full speed ahead. Which for Whisnant means one thing - a ticket to fame, irrespective of cost and trauma to original leg owner. While the documentary is about two men whose fates became forcibly intertwined and must face the demons of their past, it is also a bitter reflection on the power of tabloid news and its unchecked ability to manufacture social phenomena. Ultimately, it is also a side-splitting look at the dark side of capitalism.
