The documentary classic about surfing, freedom, adventure and an endless summer. The camera follows two surfers travelling the world in search of the perfect wave – from California and Hawaii to the coasts of Africa and New Zealand. This is the film that made surfing an international phenomenon.

Bruce Brown

Bruce Brown is an American director, screenwriter, editor, cinematographer, and pioneer of films devoted to surfing and extreme sports. His motorcycle racing documentary, On Any Sunday, received an Academy Award nomination. In 2009, he was inducted into the Surfers’ Hall of Fame and lent his voice to an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants devoted to surfing, of course. He died in 2017.
