Laurel Parmet

Laurel Parmet is an American director and screenwriter. She grew up in Los Angeles and later moved to New York where she studied at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Parmet has directed music videos and several short films. Spring was her breakout film, presented, among others, at SXSW, Outfest and Palm Springs IFF. Her sophomore effort, Kira Burning, showed at SXSW and NY's MOMA. The Starling Girl is Parmet's full-length debut.
