Maryam Keshavarz

Maryam Keshavarz is an American director, screenwriter, and producer of Iranian origin. Born in New York, she studied directing at New York University, literature at Northwestern University, and oriental studies at the University of Michigan. Her debut film is the documentary The Color of Love, devoted to the cultural changes taking place in Iran. Keshavarz’s full-length features, Circumstance and The Persian Version, both won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
