Shane Atkinson

Shane Atkinson was born in Northern California and settled in Los Angeles. He holds a degree in Directing and Screenwriting from Columbia University in New York. His screenplay for Penny Dreadful, ultimately filmed as a short, made the 2012 Black List, i.e. a list of the most interesting unproduced scripts. Atkinson wrote Poms (2019), a comedy starring Zara Hayes and Diane Keaton. LaRoy is his feature-length debut and the winner of the Polish Film Institute's Director's Award, awarded as part of the US in Progress project.
