You & I
This is producer Summer Shelton’s directorial and acting double debut. Sara and Joseph have a history – of falling in love and an affair that never really happened. The now mature adults meet over a decade later and confront latent feelings of unfulfillment and shame.
Summer Shelton
Summer Shelton hails from Mount Airy, North Carolina. She is a graduate of and later lecturer at the film school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). Summer has worked on prestigious television productions – including HBO's The Jinx and FX's Louie. She has produced, among others, Jim Strouse's People Places Things and Rachel Israel's Keep the Change, the latter of which was awarded at the Tribeca Film Festival and Karlovy Vary. In 2018, Shelton received the prestigious Film Independent Spirit Piaget Producer's Award and is a winner of the US+Canada in Progress program as part of the American Film Festival. You & I is her directorial debut.
