Haruki Murakami once wrote that the stars were watching him. Now they are also watching three brothers, bored with drinking beer and talking about nothing. So, they set off in search of a mystery: apparently their colleague buried a real witch in the desert, the titular falling star.
Polish-born cinematographer, photographer and director Gabriel Bienczycki has worked on Out of Iraq and Michał Pietrzyk 's award-winning All on a Mardi Gras Day. In 2023, he co-directed his first feature film with Richard Karpala, Falling Stars, starring Piotr Adamczyk, with whom he had also previously worked on Mayday as a cinematographer. Gabriel has directed the short films Nowhere Band, Earth Poem, and Dead End.

Richard Karpala is a Polish-American director and screenwriter. In 2017, he worked with Kasia Adamik on Amok, starring Mateusz Kościukiewicz. His films are often genre cinema, including in the shorts Murderabiliac and Psychos, shown at Fantastic Fest. Together with Gabriel Bienczycki, he co-directed Falling Stars, which premiered at the Locarno Festival. The director of the Swiss festival described the project like Monte Hellman doing The Blair Witch Project.
