Growing up, Gia spent significant time on the film sets of her aunt, Sofia Coppola, contributing to projects like Somewhere as a costume consultant and assisting with Twixt, directed by her grandfather. Gia’s debut movie Palo Alto (2013), based on short stories by James Franco, and her second film Mainstream (2020), were both featured in the prestigious Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival.
