Everyone recognizes Louis. People ask for his autograph and want their pictures taken with him. He stars in foreign films and hip-hop videos. As an actor, he usually works on a political show alongside Bill Clinton and Mitt Romney. Louis is from Puerto Rico, an American citizen, who makes his living as a Barack Obama impersonator. In Ryan Murdock’s film, the charismatic Louis Ortiz attempts to make his American Dream come true. He has mastered impersonating the 44th President to a tee. Unfortunately, you can enjoy his skills only on a conservative satire show that is even racist at times. Louis’ agent treats his star like any other product that will deliver a profit. Bronx Obama is a documentary portrait of an unusual man dependent on the popularity of a leader who does not even know he exists.
