EUROPEAN PREMIERE

You’ve probably never heard of Del Rio, Texas. You’ve not alone. People rarely come here to visit... The rare guests include an amateur actress and an ageing cowboy. She arrives to star in a low-budget horror and take the first step on the way to fame. He wants to meet his partner. Nothing goes according to plan: the director is unable to arrive on set, so the actress works with a group of kids. With humility she takes even the strangest scenes, because in this business, every job is worth its weight in gold. And she reads tarot in the evenings. The partner also cannot make it to Del Rio, so the cowboy goes into waiting mode. Both characters wander the provincial town, waiting for something to happen. The Del Rio film trip’s unhurried pace and Youtube recordings in which the actress shows off her accent skills give the film a raw, paradocumentary character.
