Breathtaking nature and a terrifying plan - a rope-free climb of 2,300 m on the nearly smooth face of an iconic mountain. Alex Honnold decided to do the impossible and make his dream come true - climb the majestic El Capitan in Yosemite. The goal is possible to achieve, but only when everything goes according to plan and with this kind of climbing an infinite number of scenarios is possible - all it takes is one loose stone or a slightly stronger breeze. Free Solo delights and astounds, but also shows that very private parts of the extreme climber's personality, elements usually inaccessible to outsiders, who may not comprehend why anyone would risk their life for something as "trivial" as extreme sport that is usually performed in front of oneself and involves the constant crossing of one's own limitations. Alex does not explain anything, but simply keeps climbing, setting new limits of human endurance. A must-see on the big screen.
