"Jojo Rabbit" by Waititi and "A Hidden Life" by Malick at 10th AFF!

Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman" is the opening film of 10th AFF! The program of the 10th American Film Festival has been released

A Hidden Life by Terrence Malick, the beloved director of cinephiles, and Jojo Rabbit by Taika Waititi, a reckless story combined with serious tone in the program of 10th American Film Festival!

Jojo Rabbit is about young boy, devoted member of Hitler Youth, who confesses all his troubles to his best friend — Adolf Hitler. One day, he will have to cope with the fact that his mother is keeping something in secret. Jojo will therefore need to re-evaluate his moral life.

Although the subject is not easy to talk about, Waititi combines serious tone with humor to elaborate on it not only as a director, but also as an actor — he’s the one who plays Hitler.

A Hidden Life tells the story of the Austrian Franz Jägerstätter (August Diehl known from Inglourious Basterds), a Catholic who openly refuses to join the Nazis during World War II. Imprisoned for his beliefs, Franz is put to the test of faith. Through his visually stunning, contemplative film, Malick returns to his best form as a director. David Sexton from "Evening Standard" called the movie "an exquisite work of genius" and David Ehrlich from "IndieWire" admired the depth and a wide range of emotions presented in A Hidden Life.
