US in Progress 2022 awards

The winners of the 13th American Film Festival in Wrocław

After eventful days of networking and screenings, this year’s edition of industry programme US in Progress, that took part in the frame of 13th American Film Festival has come to an end. 

Below this year’s fantastic awards:

The director of the Polish Film Institute awards LaRoy, directed by Shane Atkinson, produced by Sebastien Aubert, Jeremie Guiraud and Caddy Vanasirikul with a $50,000 prize for post-production in Poland.

Fixafilm awards Crookedfinger directed by Julia Halperin and Jason Cortlund, produced by Julia Halperin and Todd Remis with digital post-production services up to the value of $10,000 (excluding 35 mm processing/scan). The services include conforming, color grading, grain/noise management, finishing, mastering, simple VFX, DCP and other file based masters.

Orka Studio offers digital post-production services up to the value of $10,000 (excluding 35 mm processing/scan) for Falling Stars directed and produced by Richard Karpala and Gabriel Bienczycki including conforming, color grading, or finishing, mastering, simple SFX, DCP and sound post-production services excluding final mix room rental.

Black Photon will offer Digital Intermediate post-production services worth $10,000 for color grading for Playland directed by Georden West, produced by Russell Sheaffer, Danielle Cooper, Hannah McSwiggen.

Maciej Zieliński from Soundflower Studio awards Falling Stars directed and produced by Richard Karpala and Gabriel Bienczycki with creative sound design, worth $10,000. Music recording supervision for Laroy directed by Shane Atkinson, produced by Sebastien Aubert, Jeremie Guiraud and Caddy Vanasirikulwith.

XANF will offer VFX design, and support on bidding worth up to $7,500 for Kids Go Free to Fun Fun Time directed by Ben Hicks, produced by Liz Cardenas and $2,500 for Mountains directed by Monica Sorelle, produced by Robert Colom.

Platige Image offers a $10,000 voucher valid until December 2023 for Summer Solstice directed by Noah Schamus, produced by Jess Zeidman, Jesse Miller, Arno Mokros, Noah Schamus, that can be put towards any of the services offered by the company and provides artistic and expert support during the production and post-production process.

New Horizons Association gives a special US in Progress Award to Family Portrait directed by Lucy Kerr, produced by Fred Winkle, Megan Pickrell – flight to Poland and Polish premiere during one of its festivals.
