Playland, directed by Georden West presented in Viewpoints section, was awarded at U.S. in Progress by Black Photon.
We are keeping fingers crossed for Mountains, directed by Monica Sorelle screened in the US Narrative Competition and awarded by XANF in Poland.
Congratulations to LaRoy directed by Shane Atkinson that received $50,000 grant from the director of the Polish Film Institute and was finished in Poland at Fixafilm and DI Factory and was awarded by Soundflower Studio.
Tune in for updates on 2023 submission call for U.S in Progress to be opened this year in July. The head of the Polish Film Institute Radosław Śmigulski confirmed the sustained support for the incoming edition of the program as did all the partners. The U.S. in Progress 2023 will be held – as part of the American Film Festival in Wroclaw – from November 8-10th and will match-make American works in progress with Polish post-production studios offering in-kind awards of the joint value of $100,000 as well as networking in a vibrant charming city of Wroclaw, and a region of Lower Silesia, Poland.
