We want the TAURON American Film Festival to be an event open and accessible to all cinema lovers. Let’s work together to create accessibility across multiple areas:
This year’s festival program includes two films with audio description. Audio description for My Sunnyside (dir. Matylda Kawka) is available through the Kino Dostępne app. Audio description for The Baltimorons (dir. Jay Duplass) will be available at a dedicated screening on November 10 at 10:30 a.m., using receivers distributed in front of the screening room. Festival volunteers will be on hand before the screenings to assist with both the app and receivers. To use the app, please bring a smartphone with internet access and your own headphones.
A special screening of The Baltimorons (dir. Jay Duplass) with SDH subtitles will take place on November 10 at 10:30 a.m. An induction loop system is also available in the cinema. The number of receivers is limited; if you wish to use one, please contact us in advance at a.kolecka@nowehoryzonty.pl or +48 889 057 655.
The cinema building is architecturally accessible. Next to the main revolving doors, you’ll find standard glass swing doors with a small threshold. The building is equipped with an elevator, and the ticket counters feature lowered countertops for easier access. Each auditorium includes spaces for wheelchair users, which can be reserved through the early boarding service (by email or phone: a.kolecka@nowehoryzonty.pl or +48 889 057 655). There is an accessible restroom on every floor. A detailed description of the building’s accessibility can be found on the New Horizons Cinema website.
Guide dogs are welcome at all festival events.
Films containing sensitive content are marked with a crossed-out eye icon in the program. Below you’ll find a catalog of sensitive content. A quiet room is available in the cinema foyer on the first floor.
Tickets can be purchased on the festival website or at the cinema box office. For assistance with purchasing, contact pomoc@americanfilmfestival.pl or +48 889 057 655. People with disabilities may reserve a specific seat through the early boarding service (via a.kolecka@nowehoryzonty.pl or +48 889 057 655) once a ticket has been purchased.
