Chris Moukarbel

Chris Moukarbel is an American director of Lebanese origin. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yale University, he began as a video artist and music video director, including for R.E.M. His full-length documentary debut is Me at the Zoo (3rd AFF), co-directed with Valerie Veatch, shown in competition at Sundance. Later, he directed documentaries about superstars such as Banksy Does New York (Emmy nomination) and Gaga: Five Foot Two (MTV Documentary Award), and wig about the Wigstock Festival dedicated to the New York drag scene.
