Sofia Coppola is a director, screenwriter, producer, and actress born in 1971 in New York. One of the most important auteurs of contemporary American cinema, whose debut The Virgin Suicides and multi-award-winning Lost in Translation have become cult classics. Coppola's Marie Antoinette, garnered a Golden Palm nominaiton, while Somewhere won the Golden Lion in Venice. The Beguiled, won her Best Director in Cannes in 2017. Priscilla premiered in Venice and won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress.
