A cocktail mixing passionate French kiss and rambunctious American indie. Set in Paris, where an admiration-hungry German filmmaker (Franz Rogowski) crosses boundary after boundary as he wavers between a reticent British husband (Ben Whishaw) and a French schoolteacher (Adèle Exarchopoulos).

Ira Sachs

Ira Sachs is a filmmaker whose features includes Frankie (Cannes), Little Men (Sundance), Love Is Strange (Sundance), Keep the Lights On (Sundance), Forty Shades of Blue (Sundance Dramatic Grand Jury Prize), and The Delta (Sundance). A 2013 Guggenheim fellow, Sachs is the founding director of Queer|Art, created in 2009 to support LGBTQ+ artists in film, performance, literature, and visual arts.
