Twenty-year-old Margot meets an older, attractive Robert at the movies. On the second date, however, the girl experiences disappointment, and their relationship takes a dramatic turn. The film offers an unusual mix of thriller and comedy and asks questions about the status of male-female relationships.

Susanna Fogel

Director, screenwriter and writer. She is a graduate of Columbia University. She has been published in „The New Yorker” and in 2017 she published the novel Nuclear Family: A Tragicomic Novel in Letters. Her directorial debut was Life Partners, which she co-wrote with Joni Lefkowitz. She also conceived and co-created the Chasing Life series which aired on ABC Family. Together with Emily Halpern, Sarah Haskins, and Katie Silberman, she wrote the well-received comedy Booksmart, which earned them a BAFTA nomination. Her latest film Cat Person premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
