The latest film from the creators of Saint Frances (Spectrum, 10th AFF). Bereaved construction worker Dan Mueller, reeling from personal loss, moves away from his family and immerses himself in community theater. The amateur troupe is preparing a production of Romeo and Juliet, a play that superficially seems to have nothing to do with the complexities of Dan's life.

Kelly O’Sullivan is a Chicago-based actress, screenwriter, and now director. A graduate of Northwestern University and The School at Steppenwolf, she has made her mark in both theater and film. Inspired by Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird (2017), O’Sullivan penned Saint Frances (2019), which was directed by Alex Thompson, her partner. Together, they co-directed Światełko w tunelu (2024), O’Sullivan’s directorial debut, which premiered at the Sundance Festival.

Alex Thompson, also based in Chicago, is a director, screenwriter, and producer. He studied at DePauw University in Indiana and has directed a number of short films. His feature films Saint Frances (2019) and Rounding (2022) have previously screened at the AFF, with Saint Frances winning the Audience Award in the Spectrum competition. His latest project, Ghostlight (2024), co-directed with Kelly O’Sullivan, premiered at the Sundance Festival.
