Morrisa Maltz is an American artist and filmmaker from San Diego. She studied Visual Arts at Columbia University and exhibited her work in galleries worldwide. Her feature film The Unknown Country (screened at the 13th AFF) was nominated for the Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award. Lauded by critics as a "truly independent, exceptionally sensitive storyteller," Maltz's films have been showcased at major festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, and Atlanta Film Festival.
