The Chronology of Water

January 29, 2024. Red Crescent volunteers receive an emergency call. A 6-year old girl is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her. Her name was Hind Rajab.

Kaouther Ben Hania

An acclaimed director and screenwriter, she graduated from the École des Arts et du Cinéma in Tunis and from Parisian institutions La Fémis and the Sorbonne. She gained international recognition with Beauty and the Dogs (2017), screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. Her The Man Who Sold His Skin (2020) received an Academy Award nomination, as did Four Daughters (2023). In 2025, she directed the drama The Voice of Hind Rajab, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.
