Peter Lucien (Peter Sarsgaard) is a self-proclaimed “house tuner”. He studies the sonic environment of his clients’ houses in the belief that annoying sounds, such as cracks coming from a toaster or the buzz of a faulty wiring, are the source of anxiety, stress and even physical ailments. In his free time Peter studies the sound of the New York City, however his research paper about the hidden acoustic patterns of the urban architecture is rejected by a scientific journal. When Peter meets Ellen (Rashida Jones), whose problem with chronic fatigue he can’t solve, the opportunity to change his life will arise. The question is, will the introverted Peter be able to take it? Michael Tyburski’s first feature film is a melancholic, slightly extravagant journey through New York streets in the search of sounds, the hidden signs and the meaning of life. Unorthodox, unusual comedy drama with Peter Sargaard’s intriguing and focused performance.
