Oliver Stone

One of the most illustrious and controversial American filmmakers. Awarded, among others, with three Oscars (for Born on the Fourth of July, Platoon and Midnight Express), Stone has repeatedly taken on difficult topics in American history and politics. Born in New York, Stone enrolled at Yale, only to enlist in the military after the outbreak of the Vietnam War. Personal wartime memories constitute an important part of his creative career.
