The initial torment of a teenager enamored with pop culture turns into an exciting adventure and life lesson; raised in San Diego, he builds relationships with family members and the alien world of his ancestral Navajo people.
Billy Luther is a director, screenwriter and producer born in Winslow, Arizona. He comes from the Navajo, Hopi, and Laguna Pueblo tribes. Luther directed several documentaries and short films, while his best-known film, Miss Navajo, showed at Sundance. Frybread Face and Me is his feature-length fiction debut, which had its world premiere at South by Southwest.
