Ah, student life! New people, great parties, fascinating professors, friendships and romances that are going to last forever—or perhaps not quite that long. Kate (Gillian Jacobs from Community) has just released a novel; otherwise, nothing is going according to plan. She recently broke up with a boyfriend who already has another girlfriend, her publisher canceled all her public readings, and her closest friends have other things on their minds. So when she gets a call from a former literature professor (Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords) she was in love with at college, it doesn’t take her long to accept an invitation to visit her former university. Consequently, she has a chance, even if just for a few days, to return to her carefree days of old and to see what student life looks like from this new perspective—and to find out whether there’s anything worth missing. I Used to Go Here is a charming, humorous story about the confrontation between the present and one’s most pleasant memories from the past, which emphatically proves that there is a right time and place for everything in life, and that it’s not worth regretting anything.
