2025 US in Progress Winners Announced

Congratulations to the 2025 US in Progress participants. In 2025 as many as 20 awards of the total value of 160 thousand dollars were awarded from the program generous partners:

Mackenzie directed by Mylissa Fitzsimmons, produced by Mylissa Fitzsimmons and Jaffe Zinn, was awarded Platige Image post-production services up to $10K.

Mother Wolf directed by Suzi Yoonessi (represented by the director and Alexander Stegmaier), produced by MediaPro and Aspire Productions, got color correction services up to $10K from Black Photon. In addition Suzi Yoonessi was awarded the $25K worth of virtual studio for her next project from ATM Virtual (one day of shooting, preceded by one day of prelighting).

Night Nurse directed by Georgia Bernstein (represented in Wroclaw by Georgia and Liane Cunje), produced by Missing Link Productions, Ruby Mannequin Films, got the award from ORKA (image post up to $10K), and sound mix up to $6K from Soundflower, as well as a ticket to Poland for post-production offered by  New Europe Film Sales.

Perfect directed by Millicent Hailes, produced by Freenjoy, Steak & Rose, Ten to the Six Pictures, received  Di Factory’s deliverables (up to $5K). On top of that Wrocław Feature Film Studio gave a grant of $20,000 to Liz Cardenas to use its studio and equipment for a future production. Additionally,  DCF – Lower Silesia Film Centre invited her for a location scouting trip in the region. 

Pocket Dream (represented by Vero Kompalic and Gia Rigoli) directed by Julia Baylis and Sam Guest, produced by Anarene Films, One Two Twenty, Discordia, Simone Films, and Tanbark Pictures, got opening title design or VFX (up to $5K) from XANF and folley recording up to $5K from Aeroplan Studios

Ruby Road directed by Talia Lugacy, produced by Acoustic Pictures and Witchcraft Motion Picture Company got $10K worth of VFX from XANF, and EarWorks and Aeroplan Studios awards $10K each for sound postproduction. 

She Keeps Me Young (represented in Wroclaw by Niel Champagne) directed by Doron Max Hagay, produced by Tiny Giant, International Pigeon Production, received $5K worth VFX from Fixafilm and New Europe Film Sales awarded the project with sales and promotion consulting service and script consultation on Doron’s next project. 

Take Me Home directed by Liz Sargent, produced by Cyprian Films NY and All Caps, got $5K for color from Fixafilm. The award was picked up by Apoorva Charan present at US in Progress. 

Unknownia directed by Dash Shaw, produced by Electric Chinoland and MUBI (represented by Kyle Martin) got image post services up to $10K from Di Factory and $5K of sound from Aeroplan Studios as well as score recording supervision up to $4K Soundflower
