esday at the festival
Quiet suburbs—it sounds like a pleasant slogan, but it makes us a little sad. Since Thursday, the New Horizons Cinema has been alive with cheerful buzz, neighborly film debates, and friendly gatherings. If you’re staying in Wrocław, remember that KNH is a welcoming home open to you every day—and we encourage you to keep exploring great North American titles from the cinema’s repertoire all year round. But that’s for tomorrow. Today, we invite you to enjoy the final day of the 16th TAURON American Film Festival in Wrocław. This evening, we’ll find out who will receive your awards, dear audience!
On festival Tuesday, you can choose from 33 screenings at KNH. We especially recommend Kim Novak's Vertigo at 1:15 p.m.—followed by the final meeting with Alexandre O. Philippe, one of this year’s Indie Star Award winners. Speaking of winners, at 7:00 p.m. we’ll learn who takes home the Audience Awards in the TAURON Breakthrough and American Docs competitions. The award ceremony will be accompanied by a screening of Rental Family (dir. HIKARI). The winning documentary will be shown at 7:00 p.m., and the winning feature at 7:15 p.m.
Festival merch, or in other words, good memories made tangible: a cap (or beanie), a tote bag, or an elegant pin. You can pick them up at the festival box office or order them from our online store.
Today’s your last chance to use your tickets, passes, or accreditation to work some magic on the menus of our partner restaurants—and grab a few goodies at a discount.
